What is EPOTEC YDF 170?
EPOTEC YDF 170 is a general-purpose, unmodified, low-viscosity epoxy resin based on Diglycidyl Ether of Bisphenol F (DGEBF). Manufactured by Grasim Industries, part of the prestigious Aditya Birla Group, this resin is engineered for improved chemical resistance, superior workability, and excellent durability.
Unlike traditional Bisphenol-A based epoxy resins, EPOTEC YDF 170 offers enhanced chemical resistance and lower viscosity, making it easier to process in demanding applications. When blended with Bisphenol-A based resins, YDF 170 helps reduce crystallization issues and maintains performance, unlike reactive diluent-based modifications that compromise chemical and thermal resistance.
